Too Much Water

If you haven't figured out by now, too much of anything isn't good.
That includes water too.
Something that makes up two-thirds of our bodies can actually harm us if too much is taken in.
Drinking too much water is known as water intoxication. You can die from drinking too much water but cases are very rare.
Drinking two or more gallons within 3-6 hours can put you at great risk of water intoxication.
Athletes are at the greatest risk of this incident. Reports indicate that 18-29 percent of runners who participated in the Ironman Triatholan suffered from water intoxication.
So how much do you need? It is recommended that you drink 8-12 ounces a day.
Your thirst is the best indicator on how much water to drink.
Listen to your bodies, follow your heart, and your health should balance into place.
